Privacy Policy

MyTripQuote is operated by My Trip Quote LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company (“we”). It is a marketplace where travelers post trip requests and travel providers send quotes. This page explains what information we collect and how it is used.

What we collect

Account information: your name and email address, and your sign-in method (email/password or Google). If you sign in with Google we receive your name and email from Google. We never see your Google password.
What you post: trip requests, quotes/offers, messages, and any attachments you upload.
Provider applications: providers may give a referral source, website or social link, and an IATA number. These are used only by us to review applications and are not shown to other users.
Phone verification (providers): providers verify a mobile number with a one-time text code, sent through Google Firebase Authentication. We keep the verified status and the last four digits for support. The number is not shown to travelers. Google may store the number to help prevent spam and abuse. Verification only confirms control of a phone number; it does not verify identity or travel-agent status.
Website analytics: we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used and roughly where visitors come from (country or city, device type, and the website or link that sent them). On the home page, the agents page, the FAQ and the signed-in app we also use Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors tap and scroll so we can fix confusing screens. Text typed into forms is masked, and once you are signed in all text on the screen is hidden from the recording, so we do not see your name, trip details, offers or messages. We also keep our own simple daily visit counts, using a random number stored in your browser (not linked to your name or account). None of these tell us who a visitor is, and we do not use them for advertising.
Technical data: basic data our hosting and sign-in providers process to run the service (such as device and browser information and security logs).

Who sees what

Travelers appear to providers by first name and last initial. Contact details (email, phone, links) are not shared between travelers and providers until the traveler accepts that provider’s offer.
Your trip details and messages are visible to you, the other party involved, and our administrators for support and safety.
Chat messages and files shared in a conversation are deleted about 6 months after the end of the trip (the return or check-out date, or the travel date for a one-way trip). A conversation with an open report is kept until the report is resolved. We keep a basic record of each booking.

How we use it

To run the marketplace, show your requests and quotes to the right people, review provider applications, prevent abuse, and contact you about your account. We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for advertising.

Service providers

We use Google Firebase (Google Cloud) for sign-in, database, file storage and hosting, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for website statistics. Your information is stored and processed by these providers on our behalf.

Payments

MyTripQuote does not take or hold payments for travel. Travelers and providers arrange payment directly with each other.

Providers can buy credits to pay the MyTripQuote provider fee. Those purchases are processed by Stripe; we never see or store card numbers. We keep a record of each purchase and each credit used or added (date, amount and reason), and show it to the provider in their account.

WhatsApp notifications

WhatsApp notifications are optional. If you ask for them, we keep your choice and the date and the WhatsApp number you message us from, and we use the WhatsApp message you send us to confirm your account. Our WhatsApp notifications contain only a short notice that something new is waiting for you; we never put contact details in them. WhatsApp (Meta) handles messages sent through WhatsApp under its own terms. You can turn this off at any time in My account.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your account and data through our contact page. Some records may be kept where needed to resolve disputes or comply with law.

Children

MyTripQuote is not intended for children under 13.

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
